Banana Bread

Waking the family up to fresh warm loaves of banana bread has also been a treat for me. I tend to show my love through baking.

Whether you're a seasoned baker or a beginner in the kitchen, this versatile treat is sure to please.

Being one of my favorite treats to bake, I was curious how the banana bread came about. Did you know that banana bread became popular in the Great Depression, as a way to utilize overripe bananas?

Getting down to it;

preheat your oven to 350*

In a mixing bowl, add melted butter, vanilla, and sugar. Mix well.

Add eggs, bananas, flour, baking soda, salt, and greek yogurt into a separate bowl. Mix well.

Once the bowls have been mixed well, incorporate the two bowls together. At this point, add your mix-ins, pecans, or chocolate chips if desired.

Grease your loaf pans and pour the mixture into two pans.

Place into the preheated oven, and bake until golden brown or until the bread is no longer doughy in the center.

*Tip; use a wooden toothpick and poke the center of the bread when you think it's baked entirely. If the toothpick comes out clean it's done!

Save this recipe for future sweet treats! Comment any add-ins you like, I'm always down for a new mix-ins.
